Welcome

Wood frame

The wood building industry has recently experienced major paradigm shifts. For example, the legislative shutdown of public forest harvesting in the west led to more than 65 percent of wood products being manufactured in the south, increasing the need for newly engineered products and properties. Producers, engineers, and other industry professionals must be knowledgeable about these shifts. The Georgia Tech Wood EXPO will provide this education and training. CEU’s and AIA Learning Units can be earned at the conference.

Features of the Conference/EXPO include:

  • A 100 percent focus on education and training of the many segments related to the wood building products and applications industry.
  • More than 90 A-list Keynote, General Session, and Concurrent Track speakers on topics, including Design and Planning, Codes and Standards, and Products and Methods.
  • An Expo featuring the products and services of more than 50 exhibits of companies, including wood product producers, suppliers, engineers, and consultants.
  • Pre-conference Specialization Day to include Plant, Site Tours, and Workshops.
  • CEU/Learning Unit AIA/CSI approved credits can be earned in 20 different one hour courses presented by several companies.
Architects and Engineers going over blueprints
